ISC RECEIVES 2008 GBRIA SAFETY AWARD
Baton Rouge, Louisiana, October 22, 2008 -
Industrial Specialty Contractors (ISC) has been honored by the
Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance (GBRIA) for exceptional safety
performance in 2008. ISC received the “1st Place GBRIA Contractor
Safety Excellence Award” at GBRIA’s Annual Safety Banquet in Baton
Rouge on October 16.
The award recognizes ISC’s leadership and
exceptional 2008 safety record while working at some of the area’s
largest industrial facilities. ISC was nominated for the award in
the largecontractor category by plant managers at Marathon, Shell,
Williams and Motiva.
This is the third consecutive first-place award for
Industrial Specialty Contractors, and the firm’s ninth such honor in
the award’s 12-year history. Malcolm Graves, ISC Corporate Safety
Director, credits the firm’s dedicated craftspeople and strong
management support. “ISC management has a real passion for the
safety, health and welfare of its associates,” says Graves, “and the
teamwork on every job site is remarkable. I feel blessed and
fortunate to be part of such a positive safety culture, truly the
best I’ve seen in industry.”
More than 50 area industrial manufacturers belong to
the Greater Baton Rouge Industry Alliance, which was founded in
1970.
