ISC Wins ABC National “Eagle Award”
Baton Rouge, LA – ISC’s Honeywell Security Project earned top
honors by being awarded the National Award of Excellence by
Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC). More than 80 ABC
Chapters from across the Nation submitted their winners and competed
on the national level against each other and the ISC Honeywell
Security Project was selected as the best in its category. This is
ISC’s 6th ABC “Eagle Award”.
The ABC “Eagle Award” recognizes innovation, quality and vision
demonstrated by the entire construction team – contractors,
architects / engineers, owners and others – who play a vital role in
merit shop construction projects.
ISC demonstrated the award winning capabilities when they
mobilized a hand-picked team of highly trained associates for a job
unlike any it had done before – an installation of the most
technologically advanced security system ever deployed at a North
American chemical plant. Most important of all, it was done with
ZERO lost-time accidents, ZERO recordables, ZERO first aid incidents
and ZERO near misses.
Systems installed by ISC included data network infrastructure and
defenses, perimeter security, threat detection, access control, and
asset and hazardous-material tracking systems. The result is a
milestone in chemical plant security likely to be emulated for years
to come, a robust system integrating process control in new ways to
deliver substantial increases in plant efficiency, safety and
security. |
