Field Electrical
The field portion of the electrical system included the installation
of the grounding system for the entire processing unit. It also
included installation of transformers, power panels, wire and cable
ranging form 600 volt to 15kv, aluminum cable tray, rigid galvanized
conduit, pilot devices, lighting, and receptacles. The following is

Packaging and Shipping Facility
The packaging and shipping facility consists of a new 42,000 square
foot building that houses a conveyor system, packaging and
palletizing equipment, an office area with locker rooms and a lunch
area, and a large storage area. On the building exterior, there is a
5 bay truck loading dock. Each dock has a power overhead door and an
automatic dock leveling system. The building also includes 12 large
480v intake/exhaust fans for ventilation. The equipment in this
building required numerous motor control and power circuits. The
source of the power and controls is a new substation/mcc building
located just outside. The work associated with this substation is
described in the previous section on substation work.
This portion of the electrical system included the installation
of a grounding system, transformers, power panelsl, high-bay
lighting fixtures, safety switches, aluminum cable tray, rigid
galvanized conduit, wire, cable, terminations, checkouts, and
testing. The following is a list of items and quantities installed
in this area:

As a member of the project construction team, ISC was involved in
addressing any issues concerning safety, quality, constructability,
and schedule associated with this large "fast track",
schedule-driven project. ISC's work force peaked at over 350
associates, with approximately 340,000 work hours expended to
complete the project. The instrumentation and electrical
installation contract exceeded 10.4 million dollars. The team
concept was essential in assuring the successful completion of this
project on time with an exemplary safety record, quality
installations, and without interruption of the adjacent operating
units.
