About This Project

Motiva Enterprises, headquartered in Houston, Texas is a leading refiner, distributor and marketer of fuels in the eastern, southern and Gulf Coast regions of the United States. Within a 120 mile radius, Motiva owns and operates two refineries in Louisiana and one in Texas, combining a refining capacity of approximately 1.1 million barrels of crude oil per day.

The Flare Vapor Recovery Project was a federally driven Environmental Protection Agency mandated project required for the Motiva refinery in Norco, Louisiana. Flare Vapor Recovery is a process of recovering the waste gasses that would normally be flared so they can be used as fuel gas elsewhere in the facility, resulting in both reduced emissions and cost savings.

In September of 2013, Jacobs Field Services, representing Motiva Enterprises, awarded ISC the contract for the electrical and instrumentation portion of the project. Every aspect of the project was managed by ISC’s on-site, experienced project management team that completed the project two weeks prior to the deadline and maintained an outstanding safety record of zero OSHA recordable incidents.
