As we close out 2024, we want to say thank you. As you know, we celebrated our 35th anniversary this year and we have so much to be proud of and thankful for. ISC, originally Industrial Specialty Contractors, started with a small team in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. They had a passion for challenging the safety standards of the day and providing quality work for each client they gained by taking time to listen to their needs and coming up with collaborative and innovative solutions. Years later, we’ve seen their passion become our culture. We’re thankful for every associate who puts time and effort into developing their skills and relationships with our clients and each other. We hope you all take pride in what you’ve helped us accomplish; it’s because of this team that we’re able to continue calling ourselves a premiere electrical contractor.
Since 1989, we’ve been a part of multiple megaprojects with many leading global manufacturer and have become nested in over 100 job sites. We’ve grown from a single office with a handful of associates to now having 6 offices in 3 states with close to 4,000 associates (Offices: Baton Rouge – Corporate & Engineering, Houston, Beaumont, Corpus Christi, and Columbus)! We’ve partnered with leading global manufacturers and have won national awards for both safety and quality. To date, we’ve accumulated 66 ABC Chapter Excellence in Construction Awards (2 becoming Project of the Year), 37 ABC National Excellence in Construction Awards, 14 ABC National Safety Awards, 4 CURT Construction Industry Safety Excellence Awards, and have been named the ENR Texas & Louisiana Specialty Contractor of the Year. What an incredible legacy!
Again, we want to say thank you for your dedication and loyalty. As we continue to grow, let’s hold onto to values that have made us successful – putting people first is the way to do great work. ISC has always been and will always be POWERED BY PEOPLE.
SAFETY
We’re entering HOLIDAY SEASON and while it may be the most wonderful time of the year, there are also a few things we need to keep in mind!
- Keep an eye out for trick or treaters as you’re driving through your neighborhoods
- Check all your inflatables and light cords before plugging in
- The holidays can be a hard time of the year for some people – be kind and generous with each other

COMPANY WINS
Here are some things we’re excited about!
- NAL2 DC2 – A 2 -story data center project located in Columbus, Ohio
- 4HAP project with BASF
- Matheson ASU for Oxy DAC 1 Project
- This is ISC’s first project in the Permian Basin!
- An Air Separation Unit in Odessa, Texas that will provide oxygen for the OXY DAC facility.
- The team in Nebraska is nearing substantial completion of both projects with Zachry.
- ISC has completed over 350,000 workhours across both sites over the course of the project.
- This project encompassed two new power generation facilities to handle the peak demands as Nebraska’s data center market expands.

Changes Coming to ISC Benefits!
ISC is continually looking for ways to bring increased value and a positive experience to associates through benefits the company offers and the providers it works with. As a reminder, for ISC’s 2025 Open Enrollment period, associates will be able to complete their entire enrollment for ALL insurances (voluntary as well as health, dental, and vision) on the Benefitfirst online enrollment platform via website or mobile app.
Additionally, starting 1/1/2025, dental, vision, and all voluntary insurances will no longer be provided through Met Life*. ISC will be offering all current Met Life products through Sun Life for the 2025 plan year. Medical insurance will continue to be provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield. Sun Life will also be offering a new voluntary insurance option, Hospital Indemnity insurance.
