SAFETY FIRST
As we move into Fall, changing weather and shorter daylight hours can introduce new safety challenges—on the job and at home.
Jobsite Awareness:
Fall can bring foggy mornings, wet surfaces, and unpredictable temperature swings. Make sure your PPE is weather-appropriate, inspect tools and equipment for moisture-related wear, and stay alert and make sure all work areas are well-lit during early or late shifts when visibility is reduced.
Electrical Safety at Home:
With cooler temps, many people start using space heaters or electric blankets. Remind your family to check cords for damage, avoid overloading outlets, and never run extension cords under rugs. A quick home electrical checkup can prevent serious hazards.
Community Connection:
Fall is still hurricane season in the Gulf and snow prep season up north. Encourage your team to review emergency plans, stock up on essentials, and help neighbors who may need assistance. Safety isn’t just a jobsite priority—it’s a community value.
Let’s stay proactive, prepared, and protective—wherever we’re working or living.
